State of play

I am have done a lot of work recently to make this site as accessible as I can. I will continue make changes to improve this if I find something that make any part of this site problematic to those with disabilities, or those without for that matter.

The current site rates as AAA for WAI and Section 508 accessibility as check by the bobby validation service but as with all checks of this type, there is a possibility that thing can be improved, as part of the check is a judgment call by the author.

Relative font sizes

Okay this site now uses relative font sizes, but what does this mean. Most of the time when a web developer wants a certain look, one thing they set is the font size, so they fix the size at say 12pt or 10pt, this is not a good idea for accessibility. If you know where the text size controls are on your browser then you can have a play, you should see that the first two lines in the table below change size, but the last line does not change at all.

What to to if you think there is a problem.

To put it simply let me know. Without this sort of feedback I might never know there is a problem with this site so I will not be able to fix it, on the other hand feedback will let me know about the problems you face and allow things to be put right, so we both benefit.
