Accessibility

The recent changes to this site should have improved the accessibility, as it now rates as WIA AAA and Section 508, as far as the online check I used and my judgment tell me. However this means some features of your browser may come into play, unlike when web developers take to much control from the user when they design a site.

About the site

Some of you may be wondering why the name "The Toxic Zone" well it is partly a joke (don't ask), partly that ideas that are different from the norm. are in a way toxic to the normal way of thinking, and partly a connection to my role-play hobby.

"The Webmaster" well I am a programmer / applications developer by trade, I currently work with Delphi and C++ Builder, and have worked with other C++ compilers as a second / third line support programmer. I also do a bit with PERL and JavaScript, as well as XHTML, XML as part of my hobby (this site) as an independent, web designer, and am willing to pass on my knowledge to you my readers. For example, the new tree menu to your left, is created with client and server side scripting, and XML data file, and an XSLT file to transform the data file to the XHTML before it is inserted into the page by the server. I will shortly be writing this up, so you may use it on your sites, that is if you wish.

A bit about this site, well it is my hobby nothing more nothing less, I will update it from time to time, but only when time is willing, having said that, if you would like to know how something is done on this site or how you would go about doing something similar just ask. Better still if you would like some web development doing please feel free to contact me.

About the content.

Under the subject of programming I intend to provide proof that you don't always have to pay for software, so long as you are willing and able to create your own, or adapt Open Source Programs to suit you needs.

Final Notes

If you are having problems with this site, first please check that you have the latest version of your chosen browser, as these should support the latest standards that this site has been designed with in mind. This is because I don't intend to support old browser technology as most are not compliant to W3C standards so the sooner they go the better. If you are using the latest browser then please let me know what the browser is and the problem you are having so I can look into the matter.
